Introduction to iOS 26 Updates

We have been covering all the announcements made by Apple at WWDC 2025, but one of the most exciting features coming to iOS 26 was not discussed on stage. The upcoming update to the operating system will allow users to set custom snooze times. According to MacRumors, iOS 26 will offer customizable snooze times ranging from one to 15 minutes that users can select when setting the alarm.

Custom Snooze Times and User Preferences

For years, Apple has maintained a fixed nine-minute snooze interval, limiting user flexibility. To achieve different intervals, users had to set separate alarms or utilize third-party apps instead of the iPhone’s built-in Clock app. This restriction was unusual, given Apple’s emphasis on personalization. However, with iOS 26, users will have the freedom to choose their preferred snooze time, making their mornings more convenient. This update will be available when iOS 26 becomes publicly available this fall. Recent research suggests that snoozing may not be detrimental to health, allowing users to enjoy this feature guilt-free.
