Samsung Galaxy S25 has already set a benchmark for pre-orders in the market, surpassing those of its predecessor, but since buyers received their smartphones, some are now considering returning due to overheating issues.

Last week, Samsung officially ended the pre-order program for the Galaxy S25 series and made it available globally. The company switched from its in-house chipset to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is causing concerns among buyers over overheating issues.

Galaxy S25 Users Report Overheating Issues

A reliable tipster, Yogesh Brar, shared a post on X detailing that the Galaxy S25 series suffers from overheating issues. While the Galaxy S25 Ultra only heats up mildly, the regular model becomes noticeably hot.

This concern was raised before the official launch of the Galaxy S25 series, as the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powers other smartphones, resulting in overheating.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite delivers nearly 40% faster performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that powers the Galaxy S24, and significant power increases often come with overheating issues. The smartphone becomes warm during routine use and unbearably hot while charging, and even gets hot during normal use while performing general tasks, such as browsing social media apps.

However, according to reports, the overheating issue is not widespread, and others have pointed out that it is normal for new handsets to get warm during the setup process.
