After a long wait, PC players of Grand Theft Auto V have finally achieved parity with their console counterparts. Following a recent announcement, Rockstar Games has released a PC update today, which includes features that were previously exclusive to the latest console generation for several years.

This update is free for all existing owners of the game, which has been extremely popular. The original version of GTA V has been removed from PC storefronts and replaced with the new Expanded & Enhanced version, which includes a copy of the Legacy edition. Players can migrate their progress from both Story Mode and Online to the latest version. The update includes technical improvements that were first introduced on consoles, as well as some PC-specific ray tracing features for those who meet the recommended system requirements. Additionally, there are some minor content additions, such as ambient wildlife, photography challenges, new vehicles, and access to the GTA+ subscription service.

Rockstar Games has been working to improve several games in the GTA franchise over the years.
