Google is reportedly enhancing the security of the Android ecosystem by introducing two new system services, namely Android System SafetyCore and Android System Key Verifier, which have been automatically installed on compatible devices.

These two system services were initially released with Google’s November 2024 system update, enabling key security features such as Sensitive Content Warnings and Contact Key verifications. The Android System SafetyCore and Android System Key Verifier services have now been rolled out to a wider range of devices, including Samsung Galaxy phones.

It has been observed that Google has automatically installed the Android System SafetyCore and Android System Key Verifier on most supported Android smartphones, including Samsung Galaxy devices. The Android System SafetyCore is compatible with devices running Android 9 Pie or later, while the Android System Key Verifier is accessible on devices running Android 10 and higher.

Google’s two new system services are designed to provide advanced security features, with the Android Key Verifier enabling developers to store end-to-end encrypted keys and ensuring that users use the correct keys when communicating. This feature is essentially a contact key verification system.

On the other hand, the Android System SafetyCore provides enhanced security features for Android smartphones, including controlling sensitive content and offering warnings in Google Messages.

Google has already installed these system services on Android devices running compatible versions, and it is clear that supported Samsung Galaxy devices will receive these functions, which aim to improve and increase device security.
