Samsung Working on Next-Generation Foldable Phones: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7

Samsung is actively developing its next-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and feature Wi-Fi 7 support.

Expanding the Foldable Market

Samsung is aggressively working to expand its presence in the foldable market by introducing innovative devices and new foldable models. Typically, the company debuts two foldable devices in a year, but last year it introduced three devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

Tri-Fold Phone Rumors

Apart from the three devices mentioned earlier, Samsung is also rumored to debut its first tri-fold phone by the end of this year.

Wi-Fi 7 Support

According to a report by PandaFlash, the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 will support Wi-Fi 7. The tipster has confirmed this report, suggesting that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will indeed feature Wi-Fi 7 support. However, it is unclear whether the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will also support the same Wi-Fi 7.

Chipset Rumors

The same tipster has shared another post claiming that Samsung will ditch its in-house Exynos chipset to power its next-gen Galaxy Z Fold 7. Instead, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. However, it is unclear whether the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will also use the same chipset.

Previous Reports

Previously, it was reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 features a modified Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Samsung has yet to reveal any official details regarding the coming foldable phones; it remains to be seen whether these reports will come true.
