In a surprising move, Samsung has begun rolling out the latest March 2025 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 in South Korea, making them the first foldable devices to receive the newest security patch ahead of other flagship models.
Meanwhile, the One UI 6.1.1-based (Android 14) March 2025 patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 is now available for download, bearing the build numbers F956NKSS2AYBD and F741NKSS2AYBD, respectively. The update is expected to be released in other eligible regions soon.

As a security update, the latest software release primarily focuses on enhancing the device’s security and core functionality, rather than introducing new features. It incorporates numerous fixes from Google and Samsung to address security vulnerabilities, providing a safer and more secure user experience while protecting the device from potential threats.
The update also brings stability to the system’s behavior and functionality, along with performance optimizations, resulting in a smoother and more optimized user experience.
Interestingly, it appears that Samsung has put the One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 on hold to prioritize the March 2025 security update, as the beta build was scheduled for release today. It remains to be seen when Samsung will initiate the beta program for these foldable devices.
