Samsung is poised to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 at the highly anticipated Unpacked event this week. In the meantime, a hands-on video of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 has surfaced online, generating significant buzz among tech enthusiasts.
The Unpacked event, scheduled to take place on July 9, will showcase a range of innovative foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The event will be held in New York at 10 a.m. ET, 3 p.m. BST, and 4 p.m. CET, and can be streamed live on Samsung’s official platforms, including Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and the YouTube channel.
Recently, the first real-life images of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 appeared online, and now, a hands-on video of its sibling, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, has been leaked. A tipster, Andrei_eclynoh, shared a video post on his X handle, revealing the Flip 7’s edge-to-edge cover screen. The video provides a glimpse into the device’s design and features, including a dedicated area on the cover screen that displays essential information such as date, time, and unread notifications.

The leaked video reveals that the cover screen’s design is dynamic, with widgets and pages, while the specific area next to the cameras is reserved for displaying essential information. It is also possible that this area will be used to display the Now Bar when supported activities, such as music playback and timer countdown, are running. The inner display of the device measures 6.9 inches, which is larger than its predecessors.

According to reports, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is 0.8mm thinner when folded and 0.4mm thinner when unfolded compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, the official design of the device has yet to be revealed, so it remains to be seen whether the leaked details will match the actual product.
