While Samsung is still in the process of completing the global rollout of One UI 7 for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, the company has begun testing One UI 8 for this particular device.It was recently reported that Samsung has temporarily halted the rollout of Android 15-based One UI 7 due to a serious bug discovered in the stable build for Galaxy S24 smartphones. However, Samsung has not yet made an official statement regarding this matter.A user, @Alfaturk16, shared a post on X revealing that the international Galaxy Z Flip 6 model for India has received the Android 16-based One UI 8 update, featuring the firmware version F741BXXU2CYD7 and the April 2025 security patch. The update is reportedly 3,160.19MB in size.

Notably, the changelog does not mention any significant updates, but it is expected to introduce several new features. Although not officially confirmed, the firmware appears to be an early build of One UI 8 that Samsung is distributing to internal developers.Recently, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 was spotted running One UI 8 on Geekbench, suggesting that upcoming foldable devices will come with the latest Android 16 out of the box. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are set to launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July. These developments imply that Samsung may unveil Android 16 sooner than anticipated.
