Google has introduced a new capability for Gemini users, enabling the generation of audio overview podcasts. This feature is now being rolled out for Android devices, which means Galaxy users will soon be able to access summarized files in audio format.
According to recent information, utilizing the feature requires uploading a document or slideshow. A new chip labeled “Generate Audio Overview” will appear alongside “Talk live about this” (currently in development).

Tapping on the new chip initiates the generation of a podcast-like conversation between two AI hosts, taking a few minutes to complete. Upon completion, Google will notify you. However, since there is no built-in audio player in the Gemini application, the audio will redirect to default browsers like Chrome. In the web version, the audio plays directly.
Alternatively, users can access the podcast generation feature through the overflow menu in deep research reports. For the latest information, using deep research with a specific topic provides a broader scope. Currently, audio generation is limited to the English language but will soon expand to more languages.
