The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch in early 2026, comprising three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. A recent report suggested that the Ultra variant may bring back a classic Galaxy S9 camera feature. Now, a new report claims that it may feature a triple-camera setup.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 May Feature a Triple-Camera Setup

A tipster, @Vhsss_God, on X, shared an “Exclusive leak” post regarding the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra. According to the tipster, Samsung plans to revamp the camera setup of the Galaxy S26 Ultra by offering three camera lenses, which include:

  • A 200MP primary camera
  • A 50MP ultra-wide camera
  • A 200MP 4x telephoto camera

If this report proves true, it will mark a significant change in the camera module of the Galaxy S-series Ultra variant after a long time.

Since the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Samsung has consistently offered a quad-camera setup in each Ultra variant of its Galaxy S series, including the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the recently launched Galaxy S25 Ultra.

However, according to this new report, the company may abandon its tradition of offering a quad-camera setup in favor of a triple-camera setup. Nevertheless, Samsung has not yet released official details regarding this report, so it remains to be seen whether it will become a reality.

Besides the camera, the tipster also mentioned that the prototype of the Galaxy S26 Ultra features an S-pen with Bluetooth capabilities and a 5500mAh stacked battery.
