The upcoming flagship Galaxy S26 series from Samsung is expected to launch early next year, and it is highly likely that the series will retain the punch hole camera feature, similar to its predecessor.

Following the recent launch of the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung is preparing to debut the Galaxy S25 Edge soon. Notably, all these devices feature punch-hole cameras, a design element that has been consistent since the launch of the Galaxy S10 series, which initially introduced the punch-hole camera for selfies.

A recent leak suggested that the Galaxy S26 Ultra might feature an under-display camera (UDC), but a new report contradicts this claim. According to a tipster, PandaFlash, on X, all prototypes of the Galaxy S26 Ultra still have a punch-hole camera, with the same size as the current Galaxy S25 Ultra, with 100% confirmation.

Although there is no official statement from Samsung regarding this development, it is possible that the company will stick with the traditional punch-hole camera to avoid potential quality concerns. The under-display camera technology is not new to Samsung, as it has already been implemented in the company’s older foldable smartphones, starting from the Galaxy Z Fold 3 to the current Galaxy Z Fold 6. Additionally, there were previous rumors that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could support 65W charging, as reported earlier.

It will be interesting to see how the final design of the Galaxy S26 series turns out, but for now, it seems that the punch-hole camera will remain a staple feature.
