The upcoming flagship series from Samsung, the Galaxy S26, is expected to be powered by its in-house Exynos 2600 chipset in certain markets, as recent reports suggest.
Following its traditional annual release schedule, Samsung typically launches the latest Galaxy S series smartphone each year, with this year’s release being the Galaxy S25 series, and next year’s anticipated launch being the Galaxy S26 series.
Although it’s still early to discuss the Galaxy S26 series, given that its launch is over half a year away, rumors and leaks about its specifications, design, and chipset have already begun circulating in the market. A reliable tipster, Jukanlosreve, has shared information on X revealing that Samsung plans to use its in-house Exynos 2600 chipset to power the Galaxy S26 in Europe, while other regions will likely receive a Snapdragon-powered version.
According to the report, the Exynos 2600 chip will be utilized for the Galaxy S26, but due to yield issues related to the 2nm process, it may only be shipped in the European market. This contrasts with earlier reports suggesting that the Galaxy S26 series would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC.
Samsung has not yet released an official statement regarding the chipset for its next-generation Galaxy S26 series, so it remains to be seen whether this leaked report will prove accurate.
