Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Brings Flash to 0.6x Ultra-Wide Camera Mode

In addition to its notable features, the Ultra variant of the Galaxy S25 series features an ultra-wide lens that supports a flashlight. A few users previously reported that they wanted to couple the flash with the ultra-wide camera lens, and now, finally, Samsung has fulfilled their complaint with the latest Galaxy S25 Ultra, as its ultra-wide camera lens supports flash.

New Integration

The Galaxy S25 Ultra now allows users to use the flash with the ultra-wide camera 0.6x lens, but Samsung hasn’t officially revealed this new integration as it silently adds flash to the ultra-wide lens with the device.

Comparison to Older Devices

Noticeably, the older Galaxy S24 Ultra’s ultra-wide camera does not support a flashlight. A few users suggested a workaround where you exit the camera app, turn on the flashlight, and then relaunch the camera, but it didn’t work. This feature is unavailable on older Galaxy Ultra devices, including the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S23 Ultra, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, prompting complaints from users on platforms such as Reddit and Samsung’s forums. Finally, Samsung has now addressed this issue with the latest Galaxy S25 Ultra device.
