Samsung Galaxy S25 Smartphones Set a New Pre-Order Standard in South Korea
Breaking Records with Exceptional Sales
Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphones have set a new pre-order standard in South Korea by breaking all the previous records.
Launch and Pre-Order Records
A few weeks back, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event, including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Within a month, Samsung Electronics released a statement saying that the newly launched Galaxy S25 series broke pre-order records in South Korea and surpassed the record set by its predecessor, the Galaxy S24.
Galaxy S25 Breaks Records with Higher Pre-Orders Than Galaxy S24
Last year, the Galaxy S24 surpassed the pre-order records of its predecessor devices, and now the Galaxy S25 series sets the new bars. According to the report, Samsung received 1.3 million pre-orders collectively for each variant of the series. Noticeably, it is 7.4% higher than the pre-orders it received (1.21 million) for the Galaxy S24 series last year.
Galaxy S25 Ultra Attracts More Customers
Reportedly, the Galaxy S25 Ultra attracts more customers as it accounted for 52% of all pre-orders, whereas the base and plus variants accounted for 26% and 22%, respectively. These metrics suggest that Samsung succeeded in satisfying its fan base.
Powering the Galaxy S25 Series
Samsung ditched its in-house Exynos chipset over the Snapdragon 8 Elite to power the Galaxy S25 series. It will be interesting to see exactly how high the series will set the pre-order bar for the next-generation Galaxy S26 series.
