
Recently, Samsung commenced the rollout of the June 2025 security patch for its eligible devices, initially targeting the Galaxy S25, and now the company is extending this update to older flagship models, including the Galaxy S23 and S23 FE.
Galaxy S23 Receives June 2025 Security Patch in South Korea
The Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 FE are now receiving the June 2025 security patch in South Korea, with firmware version numbers S91xNKSS6DYE5 and S711NKSS7CYE5, respectively. Although this update does not introduce significant changes, it enhances the security of the devices.
According to Samsung’s latest bulletin, the June 2025 security patch includes approximately 70 patches, with 37 contributed by Google and 10 additional patches from Samsung to address issues specific to Galaxy devices. Furthermore, the update introduces 10 more patches for semiconductor chipsets.

If you are a Galaxy S23 user in South Korea, you should start receiving notifications for the update on your device. Alternatively, you can check for the latest update by navigating to the software update section in your system settings.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 FE in 2023 with Android 13. Since then, both devices have received two major updates, including Android 14 and Android 15. As per the information, these devices are eligible for a five-year software update, which means they will receive four major updates and several security patches, with support extending until 2028.
