Samsung is proceeding with the rollout of the March 2025 security update for its Galaxy series, as enthusiasts eagerly await the release of the stable version of One UI 7. In the meantime, the Galaxy S21 FE models are receiving this update across the US market.

Following its initial release in Europe last week, the March 2025 security update is now being expanded to the Galaxy S21 FE smartphones in the US, covering both carrier-locked and unlocked units. This update is available for various carriers, including T-Mobile, US Cellular, MetroPCS, and Dish Wireless.

The firmware versions for these updates are identified as G990USQSFGYC1 for carrier-locked models and G990U1UESFGYC1 for unlocked devices. The latest update primarily focuses on enhancing the device’s security by incorporating various security patches, although it does not introduce significant new features or changes.

The March update addresses and resolves numerous security vulnerabilities from previous versions, aiming to provide a safer and more secure user experience while protecting devices from potential threats. By integrating these fixes, the update contributes to a more stable and secure overall system behavior.

Furthermore, this update brings performance optimizations, resulting in a smoother, more optimized, and stable user interface and user experience. With the update now available in the US, owners of Samsung’s 2021 Fan Edition can download the latest version on their devices as it becomes available.
