Samsung is planning to expand its latest One UI 7 stable update to more Galaxy devices, while also rolling out the April 2025 security update to its models in various regions.
At the same time, the Galaxy S21 FE 5G and S21 FE (2022), Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A23 devices have started receiving the latest April Security Patch in the US, with build numbers G990USQSFGYD2 (5G) and G990U2SQSDGYD2 (2022), A536VSQSFEYD1, and A236VSQS8DYD1, respectively.
Currently, the update is available for Verizon carrier-locked units in the US, but Samsung plans to expand it to more carriers and regions soon.
Although the security patch does not introduce any major new features, it focuses on enhancing the device’s overall security and core functionality by addressing previous security vulnerabilities, providing a more secure user experience and protecting the device against external threats.
Furthermore, the update improves the system’s stability and reliability, and brings performance optimizations that result in a more efficient, smooth, and stable experience for users.
