It seems that Samsung is gearing up to launch the stable version of its One UI 7 update, slated for release on April 7. Simultaneously, the company is working on rolling out the March 2025 security patch for its Galaxy series, and notably, the Galaxy S20 series has begun receiving this latest update.
Although the Galaxy S20 models are no longer eligible for software updates, Samsung is exceptionaly providing a new update aimed solely at enhancing their security.
Currently, the March 2025 security update is available for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra in Europe, bearing the build numbers G981BXXSNHYB1, G986BXXSNHYB1, and G988BXXSNHYB1, respectively.
As is typically the case, this update does not introduce significant new features or changes. Instead, it prioritizes improving the device’s overall security and core functions by incorporating numerous fixes for previously identified security vulnerabilities. This ensures a safer and more secure user experience, protecting the device from potential threats.
Furthermore, the update enhances system stability to facilitate more efficient functionality and includes performance optimizations. These changes provide users with a smooth, stable, and optimized experience.
