The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge has become natively compatible with Google Drive, thanks to Google’s recent update. Introduced last year with the Galaxy AI Ecosystem, the device can now seamlessly sync files directly via Google Drive. This is made possible by Google’s release of a native ARM64 version of its Google Drive application for Windows, which enables compatibility with Samsung’s Galaxy Book 4 Edge and other Windows PCs powered by ARM chipsets.

Google initially introduced a beta version of the Drive app for Windows on ARM late last year, offering basic functionality but lacking the stability and integration of x86-based PCs. However, with the latest stable update, users can now access their Drive files directly from Windows File Explorer, enjoying a more streamlined experience.

The new native Google Drive app for Windows on ARM devices provides seamless integration with the Windows ecosystem, making file uploading and syncing easier than ever. To use the app, users must have Microsoft WebView2 installed on their system, which is typically included in Windows 11. If it’s not available, the app will prompt the user to install it during the setup process.

With Google Drive now working directly on ARM-based Windows devices like the Galaxy Book 4 Edge, users can effortlessly save and sync their files without relying on third-party sources. This development makes ARM laptops, such as the Galaxy Book 4 Edge, even more suitable for daily use.
