The countdown to the next major performance has begun, as seen in the first teaser for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, which recently premiered at CinemaCon and was later released online by Blumhouse.

Jason Blum made a surprise appearance at the annual theatrical slate convention, donning a full Toy Freddy costume to unveil the 46-second teaser trailer. Although brief, it provides the most comprehensive look yet at the highly anticipated sequel to the 2023 box office hit Five Nights at Freddy’s, which is based on the popular video game franchise. The most exciting news is that the sequel will be released exclusively in theaters, unlike the first film, which premiered simultaneously on streaming platforms.

Watch the trailer to get a glimpse of the animatronic crew’s return for more mayhem and mischief!

The original cast, including Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson, You‘s Elizabeth Lail, and Piper Rubio, will reprise their roles as they face the music in an even bigger performance. As the clip suggests, they’re “everywhere” this time, and we can’t wait for more. With Matthew Lillard’s character deceased, do you think William Afton’s evil plans will come to an end? We’ll find out more when Blumhouse unleashes our favorite demented animatronics for another show this Christmas. Oh Chica and Carl the Cupcake, we’ve missed you!

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is set to hit theaters this December.
