In a shocking twist, Nora reveals that Joel killed everyone at the hospital where a potential cure was being developed, including Abby’s father. Ellie’s reaction implies that she was already aware of Joel’s actions, and her desire for revenge is driven by a complex mix of emotions.

The episode ends with Ellie torturing Nora, determined to find Abby’s location. However, this scene is intercut with a flashback of Ellie in bed, waking up to find Joel by her side.
