Despite the recent surge in popularity of generative AI, predictive AI remains a crucial element of the software. Lighthouse AI, established six years ago, has analyzed billions of documents since 2019. The company’s expertise in eDiscovery has been pivotal in helping clients navigate the complex regulatory landscape. Christian Mahoney, Counsel at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, highlighted the benefits of Lighthouse AI’s tailored approach, stating, “Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all solution, we’ve been able to customize the technology to meet our unique needs, transforming our ideas into impactful solutions.” This bespoke approach is particularly valuable in the pharmaceutical industry, where compliance requirements can vary significantly from one company to another due to the diverse nature of activities within the sector.

The Lighthouse AI for Review suite includes a range of use cases, such as AI for Responsive Review, AI for Privilege Review, AI for Privilege Analysis, and AI for PII/PHI/PCI Identification. According to Lighthouse AI, users of the AI for Responsive Review feature can expect up to a 40% reduction in the volume of classification and summary documents, with less training required by the Large Language Model (LLM) to initiate return on investment (ROI). Furthermore, the AI Privilege for Review is reportedly 60% more accurate than keyword-based models. The AI for Image Analysis, fueled by generative AI, analyzes images and generates text descriptions, presenting results through an intuitive interface. Additionally, Lighthouse’s AI for PII/PHI/PCI Identification automates the process of mapping relationships between entities, thereby reducing the need for manual reviews and enhancing efficiency.
