How Quests Work

For advertisers, it presents an opportunity to showcase trailers for new games, announcements for DLC drops, and other video content to a targeted audience. Some Quests may require users to stream specific games to unlock rewards, potentially attracting new players for the advertised titles.
Advertiser Engagement and Expansion
Discord has already seen significant engagement from major video game franchises, including Diablo, Street Fighter, World of Warcraft, and Genshin Impact, which have utilized the Quest format for their advertising campaigns. Beyond the gaming industry, other companies, such as movie studios, have also adopted this format. For example, Max utilized Quests to promote the trailer for "Dune: Prophecy" before its premiere. The flexibility of Quests allows for a wide range of applications, from game promotions to movie trailers and other video announcements.
User Experience
Similar to the desktop version, mobile users will receive notifications when a new Quest is available. They can then choose to accept the Quest and complete the required task to earn rewards.
