First unveiled at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show, the Clicks physical keyboard add-on, which has been a moderate success for iPhones, is now expanding its reach. The company has announced a redesign of the add-on, specifically tailored for certain Android smartphones.

The overall design of the Android version does not deviate significantly from its iPhone counterpart. It is a sleeve into which the phone is inserted, and once connected, users can type using physical keys via a free Android companion app. The keyboard features backlit keys, USB-C charging, and support for shortcuts. Additionally, the Clicks keyboard provides more screen real estate by its nature, which is always a welcome feature.

According to the company, these new versions boast “brushed metal side keys, a microfibre interior, and precision-moulded enclosures that are custom-engineered to fit each Android smartphone.” However, the Android-based Clicks keyboard is currently only compatible with the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro, the Galaxy S25, and the Moto Razr+. Notably, the Moto Razr+ model requires a unique design due to its flip-style foldable nature.

The Moto Razr+ case will be available in May, with the same pre-order campaign running until March 21. The Samsung Galaxy model is set to start shipping in June, featuring the same $99/$139 pre-order pricing model with a March 21 cutoff date.
