Following the revelation that their former friend Brooklynn has joined forces with the wrong side, the Nublar Five make their escape to Europe, bracing themselves for even more perilous dinosaur encounters in the upcoming chapter of the Netflix and Amblin animated Jurassic World series.

The trailer for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory reunites us with the core group as they continue their mission to rescue dinosaurs from the clutches of corrupted individuals. Returning cast members include Paul-Mikél Williams (Darius), Sean Giambrone (Ben), Darren Barnet (Kenji), Raini Rodriguez (Sammy), Kausar Mohammed (Yasmina), and Kiersten Kelly (Brooklynn). This time, the Nublar Five’s adventure takes them to Italy, where they meet new allies, including Ben’s girlfriend Gia, played by Beatrice Grannò, and the renowned Isabella Rossellini as Nonna.

Witnessing the growth of these characters throughout both series has been a thrilling experience, and the show’s unflinching portrayal of dinosaur horror and tragic themes has cemented its position as an underrated gem within the Jurassic franchise. The series has proven to be more captivating, exciting, and memorable than the recent live-action trilogy, and we’re delighted to see its return.

The group follows Brooklynn’s journey into the dark world of dinosaur trafficking, where she may be in over her head as a double agent, while her friends attempt to reach out to her. As they navigate this complex situation, it’s clear that they’re no longer kids – and using the events of the films as a backdrop for this coming-of-age story has effectively raised the stakes. Every season has been exceptional, building upon the strong bonds forged during the Jurassic World era and its downfall, which catapulted the kids into young adulthood. Now, they’re striving to cope with the responsibility of protecting each other and the dinosaurs.

It’s logical that their experiences have fueled their determination to safeguard the dinosaurs from exploitation, although it appears one of them may have aligned with the wrong cause. This season seems to catch up with the events of the last film, featuring the massive prehistoric bugs that Dr. Sattler and her team struggled to control in Jurassic World Dominion. There’s also a possibility that it might tie into the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth. We can only hope that the kids will make an appearance as live-action characters in the films.

Get ready for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season three, premiering on Netflix on April 3.
