After a lengthy wait, the Nintendo Switch 2 is finally available in the US. If you were able to pre-order the new console, you likely have it in hand or will receive it shortly. For everyone else, the search for the Switch 2 continues. Since the initial pre-order window opened at the end of April, there have been almost no online restocks at major retailers. However, this is expected to change soon, and some merchants are planning to have consoles available in-store for customers.
If you’re still looking to purchase Nintendo’s new console, here’s the latest information on where to buy the Nintendo Switch 2.
### Where to buy the Nintendo Switch 2
GameStop and Best Buy have midnight launch events planned, and both retailers will have limited in-store stock available on June 5. Walmart will have consoles available for purchase online at midnight on June 5, and in stores the same day. Select super-centers in the Pacific, Mountain, Hawaii, and Alaska regions of the US will be open at midnight for in-store purchases.
While Target hasn’t announced midnight launch events, it will have the console available for purchase in stores on launch day. The retailer will restock online inventory beginning early morning on June 6.
Costco will have a Mario Kart World bundle, including a 12-month Switch Online membership, on sale on June 5. However, it’s unclear if the big-box store will have consoles available for purchase in-store on launch day. Note that a Costco membership is required to shop there.
Amazon is the only major retailer that doesn’t have a Nintendo Switch 2 listing on its website. The company also didn’t take any pre-orders for the Switch 2 when the window opened at other retailers.

The same applies to games, including Mario Kart World and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Another big Switch 2 title, Donkey Kong Bananza, won’t be available until mid-July.
