I have been a long-time fan of Withings’ hybrid watches, which seamlessly integrate comprehensive health technology into a stylish and understated design. For over a decade, I have admired their approach, and since 2021, the ScanWatch Horizon, their first diver’s watch case model, has been a constant companion on my wrist. Withings has continued to enhance the ScanWatch series with new features and recently introduced the successor to the Horizon, the Nova.
However, one notable drawback of the ScanWatch series is its bulky design, which may not suit individuals with smaller wrists. Until now, those preferring a more compact timepiece have been limited in their options. The recent introduction of the ScanWatch Nova Brilliant addresses this issue, condensing the ScanWatch technology into a sleek 38mm case and offering a two-tone strap that complements the chosen bezel color.
Some might argue that Withings’ design bears a resemblance to Rolex’s Datejust watches, including the two-tone strap option. On the other hand, one could counter that the significantly lower price point and extensive feature set of the ScanWatch Nova Brilliant make it an attractive alternative. If you’re searching for a luxurious, yet functional, timepiece for someone special, this should be at the top of your list. — Daniel Cooper, Senior Reporter
