For over a decade, I have been a fan of Withings’ hybrid watches, which seamlessly integrate comprehensive health technology into a sleek, understated design. The ScanWatch Horizon, the company’s first diver’s watch-style model, has been my constant companion since 2021. Since its release, Withings has continued to enhance the ScanWatch line with additional features and has also introduced a successor to the Horizon, known as the Nova.

One notable drawback of the ScanWatch series is that the watches are relatively large, making them more suitable for individuals with stronger forearms. However, Withings has addressed this issue with the release of the ScanWatch Nova Brilliant, which condenses the ScanWatch technology into a more compact 38mm case and features a two-tone strap that complements the chosen bezel color.

Some might argue that Withings is emulating the style of Rolex’s Datejust watches, including the two-tone strap option. On the other hand, one could counter that this is irrelevant, given the significant price difference and the vast array of features offered by the ScanWatch Nova Brilliant. If you’re looking for a luxurious yet functional timepiece for someone special, this should be at the top of your list. — Daniel Cooper, Senior Reporter
