For Computex 2025, ASUS is upgrading its ProArt laptop line and Chromebooks with the latest internal components, while also giving both laptop families a premium makeover, complete with new color options and refined finishes.
The ASUS ProArt A16 stands out as a top-of-the-line option, boasting a sleek black aluminum body, a “stealth” hinge that allows the top half of the laptop to lie nearly flat, and a smudge-resistant finish to minimize fingerprints. Under the hood, the ProArt A16 features an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, earning it a spot as a Copilot+ PC. This means users will have access to Windows’ expanding list of AI features, as well as two included apps, StoryCube and MuseTree, which can run generative AI models locally. All of this is packed into a laptop that measures around half an inch thick and features a 16-inch 4K OLED display.
ASUS is also introducing new Chromebook models, including standard versions and Chromebook Plus versions that support Google’s AI tools. The ASUS Chromebook Plus CX34 features a 14-inch display that can fold flat, a 1080p webcam, and up to an Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. This configuration enables local access to Gemini features and priority access to Gemini Advanced. However, the large ASUS logo next to the Chromebook logo may be seen as a drawback, and the color options are limited to white or grey.
The ASUS Chromebook CX14 and CX15 models come with up to an Intel Core N355 processor, up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. For those interested in Google’s AI features, a Plus version of the CX14 is available for purchase. Both the 14-inch and 15-inch models offer a range of ports, including HDMI for connecting to external displays. Additionally, they come in various color options: blue, silver grey, or greenish-grey, with either a matte or textured finish.
The ASUS Chromebook CX34 is available now, starting at $400, from both Walmart and Best Buy. The rest of the laptops will be available in Q2 2025. The ProArt A16 starts at $2,500 from ASUS’ online store and Best Buy. The Chromebook CX14 starts at $279 from Best Buy or Costco. The Chromebook Plus CX14 will be available for $429 from Best Buy. Finally, the Chromebook CX15 starts at $220 and can be purchased from Best Buy and Amazon.
