Assassin’s Creed Shadows is turning out to be the successful release Ubisoft was hoping for. The Assassin’s Creed team made an announcement on , revealing that since its release on Thursday, the game has attracted two million players. Originally, Assassin’s Creed Shadows was set to launch last fall but was delayed twice, as the developers worked to fine-tune the game and ensure a smooth launch experience.

So far, the results are largely positive. In his review this week, Engadget’s observed that the game is running well on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC for the most part.

According to Ubisoft, Shadows has had a stronger launch than AC Origins and Odyssey. In their tweet, the team expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for joining the journey in Feudal Japan!” Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available on a variety of platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Ubisoft+, Amazon Luna, Mac, and PC, with an expected release on iPad in the future.
