Although Marvel will not be attending San Diego Comic-Con’s iconic Hall H panel this year, it seems that Disney has plans to feature Tron: Ares in its place.

As reported by TheWrap, the science fiction sequel is set to have a panel at the annual pop culture convention. This news is significant not only because of the film itself but also due to its lead star, Jared Leto, who portrays the Ares program. Recently, in early June, AirMail published a report in which multiple women accused Leto, known for his roles in Morbius and House of Gucci, of inappropriate and sexual misconduct. Some of these incidents allegedly occurred when the women were underage. One woman interviewed by the outlet claimed that Leto’s behavior “has been an open secret for a long time.”

Leto has since denied these allegations, and both Disney and Amazon MGM have remained silent on the matter. The latter studio is scheduled to distribute the 2026 film Masters of the Universe, in which Leto will play the role of Skeletor, He-Man’s nemesis. TheWrap’s report does not specify which stars from Ares will attend the Hall H panel, which also features Greta Lee, Cameron Monaghan, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Jeff Bridges. Since the release of its first trailer, there has been no marketing for Tron: Ares. However, San Diego Comic-Con often features big, attention-grabbing trailers, so it is likely that Disney has prepared one for Hall H. Nevertheless, the allegations against Leto may impact these plans and other aspects of the film’s marketing.

Tron: Ares is scheduled to release in theaters on October 10, and San Diego Comic-Con will take place from July 24-27.
