Samsung has taken a significant step with its latest Galaxy S25 series by integrating Gemini into its Galaxy AI suite, thereby enhancing user experience. It appears that one of its main competitors, Apple, is now considering adopting a similar approach.

A recent report suggests that Apple plans to incorporate Gemini into its dedicated AI suite, known as Apple Intelligence, which will be available on iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The Galaxy AI suite from Samsung features numerous functionalities, some of which are powered by Google’s Gemini.

A developer named Aaron Paris shared a post on X (via) claiming to have discovered code in the iOS 18.4 beta that includes both Google and OpenAI as third-party AI model options for Apple Intelligence and Siri. This discovery implies a similar strategy to what Samsung employed with its voice assistant.

If this report proves to be accurate, it will indicate that Apple has adopted Samsung’s strategy of integrating Google’s Gemini into its voice assistant. Previously, it was reported that the Korean tech giant had phased out its dedicated voice assistant, Bixby, and introduced Gemini AI as the default digital assistant on the Galaxy S25 series.

Before replacing Bixby, Samsung invested significant effort into upgrading it, but the results were not favorable, and it failed to introduce a leading virtual assistant. It remains to be seen whether Apple will adopt the same approach as Samsung, fully ditching its existing system, or integrate Gemini differently.
