The lineup of animated content slated for France’s annual Annecy Festival, which takes place from June 8-15, has been unveiled. This announcement brings with it a plethora of exciting presentations from both major and minor global studios, all celebrating the enduring appeal and global reach of animation. Notable studios such as Disney, Netflix, Warner Bros. Animation, DreamWorks, and Sony Animation are set to make a significant impact at the festival, including highly anticipated projects from Star Wars, Stranger Things, Marvel, and DC.
This year, none other than the beloved character Bugs Bunny, drawn in classic 2D by Warner Bros.’ Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, presented the Annecy trailer. The charming short advertisement was directed by Grant Orchard (Hey Duggee) and executive produced by Ben Bocquelet (The Amazing World of Gumball), with Eric Bauza voicing the iconic character. This has generated considerable excitement for the annual international event and raised hopes for a more prominent presence of Looney Tunes during the ceremonies.
