The team at 9To5Google discovered a new code string in the latest Android Auto 13.9 beta, indicating that Google may add temperature controls that will function within the Android Auto service.

This code includes several settings, such as HI, LO, and OFF, for temperature control. However, the exact details of how Google plans to utilize these controls within Android Auto have not been disclosed. It is possible that the new temperature control feature may be linked to the car’s climate control system.

At present, this feature has not been made available to all Android Auto users, and its functionality remains limited to the code. Hopefully, Google will include this feature in future updates.

Recently, Android Auto has received several new features, including support for radio station playlists, NACS charging standard, Type 6 and LECCS charging capabilities, Material You coloring theme, redesigned media playback, and added support for more electric vehicles and lightweight EVs.
