Google appears to be accelerating its plans for the release of Android 16, targeting a launch in Q2, 2025, specifically in June. Following the rollout of Android 16 Beta 4 for Pixel devices and other Android partner devices, a peculiar issue has been discovered. This issue results in the disappearance of the Battery health page, which has been reported after the installation of the latest beta build.

Reports from Android Police, as cited by 9To5Google, indicate that the Battery health page becomes inaccessible immediately after installing Android 16 Beta 4. This development suggests that while Google is making progress with Android 16, there are still aspects that require attention.

Specifically, a bug is currently preventing users from accessing their phone’s battery status, raising the possibility that Google might have intentionally removed this feature. This situation is disappointing for users, as the Battery health page allows them to monitor their phone’s battery condition and compare its performance over time, including when the device was new.

Fortunately, some users have reported that rebooting their devices allowed them to recover their phone’s battery health statistics. Additionally, Google has provided a fix for the issue, which involves updating Google Play Services to the latest version (25.14.62). Users on Reddit have confirmed that this update resolved the problem, although the battery readings may not be entirely accurate.

The Android 16 beta 4 is still in the developmental stage, where encountering bugs and glitches is not uncommon. Similarly, Samsung’s One UI 7 is also experiencing issues, including the disappearance of the battery icon and a glitch in the Secure Folder.
