Today, Amazon has stepped forward with the announcement of a new AI-powered feature dubbed “Interests.” This feature enables users to input personalized shopping prompts based on their interests and budget constraints, and its launch coincides perfectly with Amazon’s Spring Sale.

How Interests Works

Interests is designed to understand everyday language, allowing users to enter prompts such as “Brewing tools and gadgets for coffee enthusiasts” or “Natural makeup products for a summer glow from top brands.” The AI-driven feature then conducts a thorough search of Amazon’s offerings to identify relevant deals, new products, or restocks that match the user’s prompt. Given that shopping on Amazon can sometimes feel overwhelming due to the vast number of options, this feature aims to provide users with a more curated selection.

Availability of Interests

Initially, Amazon has made Interests available to a limited group of customers in the US, accessible only through the Amazon app or mobile website. To check if you have access to this feature, you can look under the “Me” tab in the Amazon shopping app. Amazon plans to extend the availability of Interests to all its US users over the coming months.
