According to a report by Bloomberg, citing anonymous sources, Apple is preparing to introduce significant design changes across its iPhone, iPad, and Mac operating systems, which could be the most substantial updates in years. The updates are expected to be part of iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16, as reported by Bloomberg.

The upcoming overhaul will reportedly refresh various elements, including icons, menus, apps, windows, and system buttons, while also simplifying navigation and control. The new design is said to be loosely inspired by VisionOS, the operating system used in Apple’s VisionPro VR headset, which features circular icons and translucent panels for navigation.

The design changes are allegedly a top priority for Apple’s software and UI teams, with Apple’s Vice President of Human Interface Design, Alan Dye, overseeing the project, as stated in the Bloomberg report.

The company is expected to unveil iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16 at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in June, according to the report.
