Chandigarh-based cybersecurity firm TAC Security announced on Friday its ioXT certification, enabling the company to test and assess enterprise IoT device risks. This certification allows TAC Security to conduct IoT security assessments under the ioXT certification program, ensuring connected devices adhere to top global security, transparency, and upgradability standards.
This achievement places TAC Security among eight companies worldwide authorized to perform these evaluations, solidifying its leadership in advanced security assessments.
TAC Security plans to enter the IoT security market by offering security assessments via its ESOF vulnerability management platform, with services launching in February 2025. Saransh Rawat, CTO of TAC Security, stated that this authorization enables them to guarantee manufacturers and enterprises meet global security benchmarks, advancing their goal of becoming the leading vulnerability management company.
TAC Security will integrate IoT security assessments into its ESOF Vulnerability Management Portfolio, providing a unified platform for organizations to manage IT, OT, and IoT risks. Trishneet Arora, Founder and CEO, emphasized that this certification validates TAC Security’s expertise, infrastructure, and commitment to global security standards.
With a projected 25.4 billion IoT devices by 2030, securing these devices is crucial for protecting various sectors like smart cities, healthcare, industrial automation, and smart homes. This market is estimated to reach USD 59 billion by 2030. TAC Security aims to acquire 10,000 global customers by March 2026.
The company also holds other certifications, such as ISO 17025, Google CASA and MASA Assessor, AppDecence Alliance Security Assessor, CERT-IN Emplaned (Government of India), and CREST Certified Penetration Testing Company.
