Creatopy, a startup leveraging AI to automate digital ad creation, has appointed a new CEO, Tammy H. Nam.
Prior to joining Creatopy, Nam held the position of COO and CMO at photo-editing startup PicsArt, and previously served as the CEO of video streaming platform Viki. In an email to TechCrunch, Nam stated that Creatopy was seeking a US-based executive with experience in scaling early-stage startups, familiarity with European founders (given the product’s origins in Romania), and a strong understanding of marketing technology.
Nam expressed that she meets these criteria, making her a suitable fit for the role.
In addition to her new position as CEO, Nam will also be joining Creatopy’s board of directors, while the company’s former CEO, Dan Oros, will transition into an advisory capacity.
Last year, Creatopy secured $10 million in Series A funding, led by European venture capital firms 3VC and Point Nine. Eva Arh, a partner at 3VC, described Nam as “one of the best operators I know” in a statement.
Between February 2024 and February 2025, the company reported a 400% increase in mid-market and enterprise revenue, with significant growth occurring in the past six months. Notable customers include AstraZeneca, NASCAR, and The Economist.
Nam highlighted that Creatopy’s ability to secure major enterprise clients in demanding industries such as pharmaceuticals and banking is particularly noteworthy, especially for a relatively new company.
She attributed customer satisfaction to the product’s “intuitive interface, unique capabilities, and excellent customer service.” Nam also suggested that as large language models become more prevalent, Creatopy differentiates itself by providing “high-touch value” in addition to its AI capabilities, allowing it to understand and meet customer needs effectively.
Nam emphasized that brand safety is a top priority for the company, with marketing managers uploading brand kits during the account setup process to ensure that all AI-generated ads adhere to their brand guidelines.
“Our AI technology does not replace strategic thinking, but rather amplifies it,” Nam stated. “Some of our clients have reported a 10-fold or greater increase in productivity, as we eliminate the manual task of generating hundreds of ad variations across different sizes, formats, and languages.”
