According to recent reports (via X), the current flagship models, including the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, have appeared on the One UI 8 internal test build servers with the build number BYC1. This suggests that Samsung’s upcoming skin is probably in the development stage.

In related news, Google is back on track with the stable release of Android 16, scheduled for June 2025. The upcoming One UI 8 software, which will run Android 16, is expected to be released without any delays, unlike the current One UI 7.

Alternatively, this could indicate that Samsung is planning to skip the One UI 7.1 or One UI 7.1.1 updates and move directly to One UI 8.0, ensuring a timely release.

While these internal test builds are not officially confirmed, the Galaxy audience should wait for an official announcement from Samsung. Nonetheless, with One UI 8 being based on Android 16, it is expected to bring exciting features such as customizable keyboard shortcuts for Galaxy Books, battery health tracking, and improved functionalities.
