Samsung’s latest Project Moohan headset is anticipated to outperform Apple’s headset in terms of display specifications, potentially allowing it to take the lead in the market.

At MWC 2025, Samsung unveiled its highly anticipated Project Moohan XR headset, although detailed information about the device has not been disclosed, except that it will be equipped with Qualcomm’s powerful VR chip, the Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2.

A recent report from TheElec has revealed key specifications of the headset’s displays, which will feature 1.3-inch 4K OLEDoS (OLED on Silicon) panels from Sony, supporting a pixel density of 3,800 ppi.

Samsung is expected to sell around 100,000 units of its premium XR headset, although the exact launch timeline remains unclear. However, parts suppliers collaborating with Samsung on the XR headset are reportedly set to begin mass production next month.

As Samsung has not yet released official details about the Moohan XR headset, including its display specifications, it remains to be seen whether these leaked details will be confirmed.
