The popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp, is reportedly developing several new features, including a unified call menu for chats and groups, as well as the ability to add sticker photos to status updates. These features are currently being tested by a select group of beta testers.
Notably, WhatsApp is set to introduce a redesigned call menu (version 2.25.5.21) that will replace the separate voice and video call buttons. This new menu will give users more control over their calls, allowing them to select specific participants for group calls and avoid automatically calling all group members.

Additionally, WhatsApp is introducing a Sticker Photo feature (version 2.25.5.20) that enables users to add multiple photos to a single status update using a new content sticker.

Unlike the traditional method of sharing multiple pictures as separate status updates, this new feature allows users to create an overlay of sticker photos on a single status update, whether it’s a picture or video-based content, similar to Instagram. The stickers can be easily resized and moved around for a more creative user experience.
WhatsApp is currently allowing a select group of beta testers to test both the unified call menu and sticker photo features. These new features are expected to roll out to more Android users over the coming weeks, so users will need to wait for the update.
