The release of Samsung’s One UI 7 stable version remains unclear, as the company has not provided any information about its progress plan for the latest software skin. Typically, by this time, fans would be discussing the next major Android skin.

Currently, Galaxy S25 series owners are exclusively experiencing the latest One UI 7 version, which runs on Android 15, while the Galaxy S24 lineup is still in the testing phase with multiple beta builds. Now that the One UI 7 beta has been released, let’s examine the current status of One UI 7.

One UI 7 Beta Story: Four Betas Released for Galaxy S24 Series

Looking back, Samsung initiated the One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series on December 5, 2024, followed by the second beta on December 16, the third on January 6, and the fourth beta on February 19.

However, shortly after releasing the fourth One UI 7 beta, Samsung released three hotfix updates for the 4th beta. The first hotfix was exclusive to US Galaxy S24 users, while the second hotfix was released in different regions with a new version number and fix. The third hotfix was the 2nd hotfix for the US. Since Samsung referred to these additional builds as 4th beta hotfixes, it’s not accurate to call it One UI 7 Beta 5.

One UI 7 Beta Test Builds Spotted on More Devices

Interestingly, despite previous reports suggesting otherwise, Samsung (via Samsung Support chat) clarified that the Galaxy S23 series is not part of the One UI 7 beta program. However, the Galaxy S23 series has been spotted on One UI 7 beta test servers.

In addition to the S23 lineup, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 have also been spotted on beta test server builds. Furthermore, Galaxy S24 smartphones have appeared on test servers with different build numbers.

What’s Next?

Given the uncertainty surrounding these devices’ appearance on One UI 7 beta test servers, it’s premature to make any assertions about Samsung’s One UI 7 stable release. While predictions have been made, Galaxy fans will have to wait for official confirmation.
