Samsung initiated its One UI 7 beta program on December 5th of last year, followed by subsequent releases, including the second and third betas. Throughout this journey, the company has issued a total of 4 beta builds for its Android 15-based software skin. However, this has led to confusion among users regarding the latest update, mistakenly referred to as beta 5, which is currently rolling out globally.
To clarify, the latest update is not the One UI 7 Beta 5, but rather a hotfix update for beta 4, as explicitly stated by Samsung itself.
The Story of Samsung One UI 7 Beta Updates
Initially, it was reported that Samsung planned to release 6 One UI 7 beta builds for Galaxy S24 series users. The first beta was released on December 5th, 2024, followed by the second on December 16th, the third on January 3rd, 2025, and the fourth beta on February 19th, 2025. However, Samsung has not made any announcements regarding the 5th and 6th beta builds, instead releasing a new update that is a hotfix for the 4th beta, not One UI 7 Beta 5.
The company’s actions have led to confusion, as users were expecting a beta 5 update, but the latest release is merely a hotfix for the existing beta 4 build.
First One UI 7 Beta 4 Hotfix Released in the US to Address VVM Crash Issue
Following the identification of several issues in the One UI 7 Beta 4 build, Samsung released a new software update, which, although not a Beta 5 update, addressed the VVM crash issue affecting Galaxy S24 devices in the US region. This update carried the version number ZYBB.

One UI 7 Beta 4 Hotfix Update Expands to More Regions with a Different Build and Fix
The One UI 7 Beta 4 fix update, carrying the version number ZYBF, has been rolled out to additional regions, including Germany, India, Poland, and South Korea. This update not only features a different version number but also resolves an issue where the refresh rate drops in certain situations.

Second Hotfix for One UI 7 Beta 4 Released in the US
The first 4th Beta Hotfix addressed the VVM crash issues, and Samsung has since released another 4th Beta hotfix in the US, carrying the version number ZYBF. This update also resolves the refresh rate drop issue for Galaxy S24 models.

Clarification: It’s the 4th Beta Hotfix, Not One UI 7 Beta 5
Given that the changelog explicitly refers to the new beta update as a One UI 7 beta 4 hotfix, it is clear that the beta 5 build has not yet arrived, if it is indeed planned.
