As the Galaxy S24! series is currently getting the One UI 7 beta 4 hotfix, Samsung is also pushing out the February 2025 security update to other older Galaxy devices.
In related news, Verizon users in the US can now access the patch for the Galaxy S21, as well as the Galaxy S22 lineup, including the Fan Edition models like the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S23 FE.
The February 2025 security update for the carrier-locked Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra comes with build numbers G991USQSEGYA5, G996USQSEGYA5, and G998USQSEGYA5, respectively. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 has S901USQS7EYA5, the S22+ has S906USQS7EYA5, and the higher-end Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with S908USQS7EYA5.
Simultaneously, the firmware for Samsung’s older Fan Edition models has been identified, with the Galaxy S23 FE having version number S711USQS6CYB3, and the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S21 FE (2022) units receiving updates with build numbers G990USQSEGYA3 and G990U2SQSCGYA3, respectively.
Although the software update does not introduce significant new features or changes, it does bring a substantial number of fixes for security vulnerabilities addressed in the previous version.
