Introduction to Sayonara Wild Hearts
My aspiration for a Sayonara Wild Hearts sequel may never come to fruition, but the unexpected release of an enhanced version for PS5 has brought joy to my heart on an otherwise dull Monday. This announcement was made by publisher Annapurna Interactive during its latest showcase.
Enhanced Features of the PS5 Edition
The PS5 edition of Sayonara Wild Hearts boasts several notable enhancements, including support for 4K visuals, 120 fps gameplay, and haptic feedback via the DualSense controller. Additionally, a new unlockable mode called Remix Arcade is exclusive to this PS5 version, where players aim to achieve high scores across random level chunks with no loading time in between. According to developer Simogo, the mode will progressively increase in speed to enhance the challenge.

Development and Availability
Simogo had a period of downtime after working on Lorelai and the Laser Eyes, and the opportunity arose to bring Sayonara Wild Hearts to PS5. Although the PS4 version is already compatible with the console, the team opted to enhance the game rather than just upgrade its fidelity.
Free Upgrade and Availability
The studio utilized the PS5’s fast SSD to create the Remix Arcade mode, which features quick loading and a random element that sometimes mirrors the level visually to keep players on their toes, as the studio said. The best part is that the enhanced edition for PS5 is a free upgrade for those who already own the PS4 version. Sayonara Wild Hearts is also available in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, or it can be purchased for $13.
Conclusion
Sayonara Wild Hearts is one of my all-time , and I’m thrilled to have an excuse to play through its fun and heart-mending story again. I’m tempted to plug in my to experience the stylized art and signature neon purple visuals as the dreamy pop soundtrack fills my ears. Hopefully, Annapurna will bring the game back to iOS as well, as it left Apple Arcade a few months ago. Having Sayonara Wild Hearts available on all platforms, including PS5, Steam Deck, Switch, and PC, is not enough – I need it to be accessible at all times.
