Pixelity, a South Korean game development studio, has announced that it is currently working on a series of XR games inspired by the popular anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. The first installment of the trilogy is slated for release next year. According to an emailed statement from the studio, the games will be “based on the world and events of all 26 episodes” of the beloved anime series.

Although details are scarce at this point, Pixelity has revealed that players will experience the narrative through the eyes of an original character, exploring the Neon Genesis Evangelion universe, completing quests, and engaging in thrilling battles that follow the timeline and key events of the anime. The trilogy promises to offer “interactive and cooperative gameplay with familiar characters.” However, the developer has not yet disclosed which platforms the games will be available on.

Pixelity has a track record of developing games for various platforms, including the Meta Quest family of headsets, Pico, and others. Recently, the studio launched several titles for Apple Vision Pro, including Shooting Break and Rolling Buddy.
