The announcement trailer for Shotgun Cop Man is packed with intriguing content: a uniquely designed protagonist with a wide body and thumb-like head, a Satan character resembling Handsome Squidward, a demon boss capable of emitting a lethal stream of flatulence, and fast-paced platforming that utilizes shotgun blasts for movement. Developed by DeadToast Entertainment, the solo developer behind My Friend Pedro, this upcoming game appears to be utterly chaotic. The central mission of the hero is straightforward: “Go to Hell, arrest Satan.”

Publisher Devolver Digital released the trailer on Friday, although a specific release date has not been announced, the game is expected to launch later this year. It is described as a “punchy, crunchy, son-of-a-gun precision platformer” where players use shotgun blasts to navigate platforms and defeat enemies, rather than traditional jumping mechanics. The main campaign features around 150 levels, and a built-in level editor will allow players to create and share their own custom levels.

Shotgun Cop Man will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch upon its release. A demo is currently available for download on Steam, offering a sneak peek into the game’s action-packed gameplay.
