The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 has demonstrated exceptional battery life, outperforming many of its rival foldable phones on the market, despite having a relatively smaller capacity battery.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 6 last year, equipped with a 4,400mAh battery that supports 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. Although it has a smaller battery capacity compared to its competitors, it has shown remarkable endurance. A recent report highlights the device’s impressive battery performance.
A YouTuber conducted a comprehensive battery test featuring six foldable phones from various brands, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The results revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 outperformed several devices with larger batteries, such as the OnePlus Open (4,805 mAh), Pixel 9 Pro Fold (4,650 mAh), and Honor Magic V3 (5,150 mAh), which had slightly shorter battery life. The test video provides a detailed comparison of the devices’ battery performance.
During the test, all devices were set to 150 nits brightness, connected to Wi-Fi, and subjected to various benchmarks, YouTube streaming, 4K video recording, and social media browsing to assess their battery performance. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 lasted an impressive 8 hours and 46 minutes. In contrast, the OnePlus Open lasted 7 hours and 9 minutes, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold lasted 7 hours and 33 minutes, and the Honor Magic V3 lasted 7 hours and 43 minutes. However, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and Oppo Find N5 performed better, with battery life lasting 9 hours and 10 hours and 2 minutes, respectively.
The results of the test indicate that the size of the battery is not the only factor determining battery life, as devices with larger batteries do not necessarily last longer. The Galaxy Z Fold 6’s impressive performance is a testament to its efficient battery configuration.
