Currently, Google is in the process of rolling out the Android Auto 13.8 version through its beta channels. However, some drivers are experiencing issues with wireless connections breaking up on older builds.

A limited number of Android Auto users have reported on Google’s support page that their Android Auto has suddenly stopped connecting wirelessly with their smartphones, resulting in broken connections and improper functioning. Although this issue appears to be limited to those using older Android Auto versions 13.4 and 13.5, it has not yet become widespread.

According to user reports, they are able to use Android Auto when connected to their smartphone via a USB cable, but the connection breaks when the cable is disconnected. Despite attempting various troubleshooting options, the issue with the Android Auto wireless connection persists. However, a simple reboot temporarily resolves the problem, although it does not provide a long-term solution.

As Google has not yet acknowledged the Android Auto wireless connection issue, it is possible that future updates may resolve the problem. Meanwhile, with Android Auto 13.6 and 13.7 available in stable versions, users are advised to update their Android Auto to the latest version.

Google has introduced various features in its smart driving companion to enhance user convenience, including NACS charging standards for EVs, expanded support for more EV cars, and a visually appealing Material You coloring theme. It is expected that future updates will bring even more innovative features to the platform.
